Ms. Nelson's
Bio
Mrs. Nelson
I was born in
Germany. My dad was in the army and he was stationed there.
We moved to USA
when I was the age of one. I have always enjoyed children.
In fourth
grade, I had a teacher who worked with me and helped me be a peer
helper in
class. I knew right then that I would be a teacher when
I grew up.
I went to
college at CWU. I have a BA in ED. So, when children as me if
I am a
Cougar or a
Husky, I tell them I am a Wildcat. I get a lot of confused
looks.
I received my
Masters in ED. through City University and continue to
take classes
through SPU. I started at Sandburg as a Reading Specialist.
Five \
years later I
moved to Third Grade. I loved it! I have also taught Second
Grade
and am
currently at Third. I enjoy the primary grades. I have
been at
Sandburg for 19
years. The teachers are wonderful and they are like my
family.
My real family consists of Larry, my husband, Alex, my son(3rd
grade),
Alea, my
daughter (7th grade), Tailer, my Border Collie and my newest
addition Angelo
, my Cockatiel.
