Unit One Assessment; students will use greek and latin roots to break down the meaning of a given word; students will begin their novel studies."Important Poems": students will practice demonstrating sentence fluency by writing poems with varying sentence lengthsStudents will collect data and use it to find the mean, median and mode of a set of data; students will practice their computational fluencyStudents will analyse whether something is living or nonliving by looking for the 7 characteristics of a living thingsstudents will identify the 50 states and their capitals; students will identify and analyze the 10 ammendments that make up the Bill of Rights.  Students will identify which ammendment they think is most important and why.
