 Mrs. Brown - Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs.  Brown taught in California for 8 years, 5 of which were at the Kindergarten level.  She also taught third and fourth grades.  Most recently she taught at Wilder Elementary in Kindergarten as well as a two/three multi-age class as a long-term substitute.  Mrs. Brown opened Blackwell 10 years ago and has taught kindergarten all of those 10 years.
Mrs. Brown attended University of the Pacific in Stockton, California as a freshman and a sophomore, and graduated from UCLA with a degree in child psychology and she completed her fifth year in elementary education at California State University at Los Angeles.

Mrs. Brown and her husband have been married for 35 years.  They have three children.  Nic is 27, Brooks is 23 and Kendall is 19.  Nic is currently attending the U of W and looking forward to beginning the masters program in business.  Brooks graduated from US Merchant Marine Academy and has received a Marine flight contract.  Kendall attends WWU.

The Browns are very involved with their children, but they do find time to walk and do a bit of snow skiing in the winter time.  Mrs. Brown is also a charter member of Assistance League of the Eastside.

"It is very exciting to begin the second year at RP. During the first year, the families, students and staff were such a pleasure to work with. We started something very special---a place where joy and learning happens every day! I am so looking forward to another terrific year!"
