 Lisa Collins - Third Grade
Lisa Collins is a graduate of Central Washington University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a minor in reading.  She grew up in Lake Forest Park with her parents and older brother. "I have a large extended family, and almost all of them live within 20 miles of me, which I feel very lucky for,  and I cherish the time that I get to spend with them." says Ms. Collins.  Mrs. Collins and her husband Mr. Collins just celebrated their first anniversary in July.
Mrs. Collins is expanding her after school activities, "I love READING, running, soccer, spending quality time with my family (including my Cavalier King Charles dog, Riley), quilting (still learning!), golf (DEFINITELY still learning - it's amazing what we'll do for our spouses), and of course, teaching."

I am currently working on my masters degree in teaching, with a focus on literacy, through Lesley University. The university is located in Cambridge, MA, but I meet with a cohort group here in the Seattle area. I am very excited about what I am learning (and the pay raise won't be bad, either), and to apply it in my teaching to benefit students. I cannot wait for what this second year at Rosa Parks will be, and am THRILLED to be working with such wonderful 3rd grade teammates, Stephanie Smith and Jenn Drake!"
