Linda Johnson is a Puget Sound Native, she graduated from Queen Anne High School. In August of 1968, went to Minneapolis, MN to attend In-Flight Training with Northwest Airlines, Inc. (for 27 years)
Born & raised here in Seattle. she met her husband, Brian, in 1982 on a flight from Honolulu to Seattle,
"He was a passenger, and I the flight attendant." |

Six months later, Brian packed up and moved out
West, from Wisconsin. Brian & his brother have a Placer Gold mining
operation in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, where he spends his Spring
and Summer months. They had the best of both worlds, Brian could be
home during the Winter months and they spent most summers together,
where he mines. In 1988, they adopted their daughter, Kelsey.
Kelsey is Shoreline Community College in the Cosmetology and Salon
Management Programs and she loves it!
When Mrs. Johnson decided she wanted to be working again, and have the experience of working with children
she applied as a Sub with LWSD. Her first job was on "9/11" at
Lakeview Elementary. "My daughter attended Dickinson, so naturally I wanted to be there. I made it known the the Office Manager, Marilyn Johnson, and the Administrator,
david Larson, that I would love to work at their school, should a position open up. Well ... the following month I was called for an interview at Dickinson. Special Ed./Para Ed. was new to me, but I got my feet wet & worked one on one with a Special Needs student for almost 4 years. Once we bonded and got through the transition of a new "aide," we grew very attached to each other. An Instruction Aid position opened up when my student wet to Jr. High School, so I managed to slide into that position. I love the variety of this position and being able to work with many different children throughout the day."
For the past 2 years Mrs. Johnson has tutored a special needs child after school, a couple of days a week, but taking the
summer off.
Our favorite thing to do is visit our Hacienda, in Puerto
Vallarta, Mexico, as well as visit family in Guadalajara, Mexico.
When we can't go as a family, I try to fill in the gap & take a trip
on my own (not tooooo relaxing!!!). We look forward to Hockey
season. Since the Seattle Thunderbirds are moving out to Kent, we
have subscribed to the Hockey Channel, so we can be comfy at home
watching our favorite sport.
While I enjoyed my 5 years at Dickinson Elementary, I am thrilled
to be a part of the "family" at Rosa Parks. I must admit taking on
the position as "Lunch Lady" was a bit of a challenge my first year,
but what a great way to learn the names and faces of our students. I
am excited to return to work, get re-acquainted with staff &
students, and learn to know the many new faces. There is no other
school like Rosa Parks, and I feel blessed to have this opportunity
of spending time with such wonderful families & friends.
