Carol Nelson - Second Grade Teacher

Carol Nelson graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in German and education.  This included a year at Phillips University in Marburg, Germany.  Then she attended Cal State, Long Beach, to get her elementary teaching certificate.  She is currently, in the process of getting her masters in teaching.
We asked Mrs.  Nelson about her family and she said, "I have a great husband, Tom, and 2 children, Angie, 26, and Rob, 23.  Angie graduated from The Evergreen State College and loves to write.  She is working toward being a teacher.  Rob is going to college in Kansas, playing baseball and studying finance."

Mrs.  Nelson first taught in Anaheim, CA.  She taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade there.  She has been teaching 4th grade at Einstein for 5 years.

Mrs. Nelson loves to play golf as soon as it stops raining and is warmer than 50 degrees! She loves to paint, but usually only has time for this in the summer. "My husband and I also love to travel, both in the US and in Europe."

Mrs. Nelson enjoyed golf and traveling this summer.  "I traveled to Philadelphia to visit family in June and had a great vacation. It is fascinating to stand in the very same buildings where our country was founded. I recommend this trip to everyone."
