It's time to get moving!  Rosa Parks Elementary is introducing a new initiative to get students to school in a healthy, active way.  The program will be called the "Rosa Parks Walking School Bus" and will involve parent and student volunteers walking younger students to school each day from designated starting points, at set times, along set routes, all within a few minutes walking distance to the school. Students can join at the starting points or along the routes. 

The benefits of walking are numerous. It fosters independence, increases fitness, increases energy, improves learning and provides an opportunity to socialize and have fun. 

I am seeking parent volunteers for large and small tasks to launch and sustain the Rosa Parks Walking Bus.  Please indicate your interest in participating in this program by replying to my email.
